CardNet AI ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: Email, name, and password when you create an account.
- Business card data: Information extracted from scanned cards (names, contacts, companies, etc.).
- Images: Photos of business cards you scan, stored locally and optionally in the cloud.
- Usage data: Subscription status and feature usage for service delivery.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the App (scanning, AI extraction, contact management).
- To sync your data across devices when cloud sync is enabled.
- To process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To provide support, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of our services.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:
- Camera: To scan business cards. Images are processed locally or via our AI service to extract contact information.
- Photo Library: To import card images and save scanned card photos. You control what is imported or saved.
- Contacts: When you tap "Secure to Device" (存入设备通讯录), the App saves the scanned contact to your device's address book. We do not read, access, or transmit your existing contacts. Contact data is written only to your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Database and authentication. Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure.
- Google Gemini: AI-powered text extraction from card images. Images are processed to extract contact information.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase verification. No personal data beyond what is needed for billing.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. When you delete your account:
- All your contacts and associated data are removed from our servers.
- Stored images and files are permanently deleted.
- Your account and authentication records are removed.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. Authorized personnel with access to user data are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.
7. Admin Access
To provide support, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of our services, authorized personnel may access or export user data when necessary. Such access is restricted to legitimate purposes, limited to authorized staff, and subject to confidentiality requirements. We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or sale to third parties.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data (you can also delete your account from Settings).
- Data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
